Loft and Cavity Wall Insulation for Dudley Residents
Mercia Sales & Marketing Limited have been working with a number of insulation specialists around the UK to promote the loft and cavity wall insulation schemes for those aged over 70 and on a qualifying benefit. Since February 2008, the team at Mercia have been using a variety of methods to market directly to those that need either loft or cavity wall insulation in their homes. Having your loft topped up to the new required depth of 10-12 inches can save you as much as 25% on your heating costs over the year. In the current economic climate, its vitally important that everyone saves money where they can.
Mercia Sales, based in Rugby, are now working alongside a specialist, Midlands based, insulation company to provide government grants to residents in the DY postcode (Dudley). If the pilot scheme is successful, it will be rolled out all over the United Kingdom. For as little as £198.00, you can have your loft insulation topped up to the required standard or have your cavity walls filled. Both types of insulation will save you money on your heating bills. If you currently live in the Dudley (DY) Postcode and want more information on the scheme, email insulation@merciasales.co.uk with your name, address, postcode and a contact telephone number.

More employees want to work at home
The Business Times, a Northamptonshire based publication, has reported that more people want the freedom of working from home rather than an office environment, according to a recent survey. They report that almost half of employees surveyed would rather ditch the traditional office and escape the rush hour traffic, saving on travel and fuel costs. The survey has been carried out by Cruise118, aimed at office workers and 46% of them said they’d rather work from home full time. 80% are reported to have said they would rather have the option to work from home occasionally, but would miss the ‘office banter’ that you get from working with people. One in five said they preferred being based in an office full time.
At present there are only 12% of people regularly working from home, many of whom are self employed. That figure is set to rise as increasing numbers of employers are now giving their staff more flexible working arrangements by allowing them to work from home.
We are in a world where technology allows remote working access and Mercia Sales & Marketing Limited have a number of home workers working on various projects from their homes. Company Director Dean Marshall says “We are testament that a business can be successful in having home workers. Our business is built on trust and good communication, but backed by technology that allows remote access to our systems.” Mercia Sales, based in Rugby offer a host of services, which include lead generation and appointment making, event management, sponsorship and delegate securement. Mal Barritt, Director of Cruise118, which also offers both home and office working options to sales staff said “With rising petrol prices, expensive child care, and a stressful commute to the office, it’s no wonder that many people would rather work from home than in an office.” He went on to say “I’d be surprised if more and more employers didn’t go on to offering staff homeworking options, particularly in this difficult economic climate when homeworking can help save both the employer and employee money.”
